TERMS OF GUARANTEE – Batteries X-Classe

The Guarantee for the battery is provided:

  • For cars for a period of 24 months from the date of battery purchase, but no longer than 5 years from the manufacturing date of the battery.
  • For cars with non-standard receivers and requiring frequent engine starts e.g.: Couriers, Post office, Ambulance, Fire Department, Police, Taxi, for 12 months, but not longer than 3 years from the manufacturing date of the battery.
  • For trucks, construction and agricultural vehicles for 12 months, but not longer than 3 years from the manufacturing date of the battery.

To obtain guarantee service, after buying a battery (not later than 7 days from the date of purchase) send a completed photocopy of Battery MS® guarantee and the proof of purchase to the address listed in the first page of the Guarantee, and also carry out regular checks of the battery by an authorized service in period of 12 months (+/- 7 days), complement the BATTERY MS® OPERATING CARD, and send its photocopy to the manufacturer no later than 7 days from the date of each check.

It is possible to get an extended guarantee:

For passenger cars for a period of 36 months from the date of battery purchase, but not longer than 6 years from the manufacturing date of the battery.

For cars with non-standard receivers and requiring frequent engine starts e.g.: Couriers, Post office, Ambulance, Fire Department, Police, Taxi, for 24 months, but not longer than 4 years from the manufacturing date of the battery.

For trucks, construction and agricultural vehicles for 24 months, but not longer than 4 years from the manufacturing date of the battery.

To obtain an extended guarantee service, after buying a battery (not later than 7 days from the date of purchase) send a completed photocopy of Battery MS® guarantee and the proof of purchase to the address listed in the first page of the Guarantee, and also carry out regular checks of the battery by an authorized service in period of 6 months (+/- 7 days), complement the BATTERY MS® OPERATING CARD, and send its photocopy to the manufacturer no later than 7 days from the date of each check.

The Guarantee is issued only once.

The Guarantee does not cover and is void in case of:

  • Selection of the wrong battery.
  • Using the battery in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose.
  • Mechanical damage of housing or poles.
  • Thermal damage of housing or poles.
  • Battery in which the top cover has been breached or removed.
  • Damage to the battery through the malfunction of the electrical system of the vehicle.
  • Reducing the active material by deep discharge of the battery (below 8.3 V).
  • Reducing the active material by too high charging voltage of the battery (below 14.7 V).
  • The use of activating agents in place of distilled water.
  • Battery sulfation by improper use.
  • Incorrect battery mounting in the vehicle.
  • Unauthorized alterations and repairs.

The rules for submitting complaints:

  • The basis of complaints is having correctly (all fields must be completed) and legibly filled original Guarantee form along with the proof of purchase (invoice, receipt).
  • The Guarantee must not have any erasures or corrections.
  • The claimed battery should be clean.
  • Complaints should be submitted at the point of purchase of the battery or the nearest authorized service.
  • Examining the complaint lasts 14 days. In the case of a need for laboratory testing, this period may be extended by the time necessary to carry out said activities.
  • During the examination of a complaint no substitute battery is made.
  • Disassembly and assembly of the battery in the vehicle:
  • Dismantle the old battery according to the instructions of the car manufacturer.
    • When removing, turn off the ignition and the other receivers.
    • Disconnect the mass cable.
    • Disconnect the current cable.
    • Loosen fixing.
    • Remove the old battery.
  • Install the battery MS® according to the instructions of the car manufacturer.
    • Place the battery in the vehicle.
    • Fix the battery according to the car manufacturer’s instructions.
    • Clean the tip of the cables and apply a thin layer of technical petroleum jelly inside the tip.
    • Place the positive cable onto the current terminal (positive).
    • Place the negative cable to the mass terminal (negative).
    • Tighten the clamps at the poles.

WARNING: Disconnecting the battery may erase data contained in electronic devices such as: clock, radio, etc.

To prevent malfunction of the battery:

  • Regularly check the condition of the electrical system in the vehicle.
  • The battery must be kept clean.
  • The battery must be protected from moisture.
  • The battery should be properly fitted in the car.
  • Regularly check the battery terminals connection with cables.
  • The battery must be operated in a fully charged state.
  • Discharged battery must be recharged immediately.
  • Regularly check the condition of the battery.
  • In the case of frequent starts (urban driving), using additional current consumers, it may be the need to recharge the battery with an internal source – a rectifier.
  • Battery out of service should be fully charged.

Charge the battery outside the car. Charging the battery should be done in an aired, well-ventilated area. Charge the battery only with DC voltage. In the case of heating the battery to 40°C, stop charging, cool the battery and resume charging.

The correct resting voltage of an efficient battery is 12.6V – 12.8V.
Proper charging voltage of the battery in the vehicle should be: 14.0 V – 14.5 V.
The correct electrolyte density should be 1.28 – 1.26 g/cm3.

Before use read the operating instructions.
Follow the instructions printed on the battery
in the instructions for use and operation.

Eye protection required.
When working with the battery use gloves and goggles.

Prohibition of using naked flames, smoking, sparks.
It is not allowed to contact the battery with flame.
Do not expose to strong sunlight.

Keep away from children.

Caustic substance.
Do not tilt the battery because this may cause electrolyte leakages.

Risk of explosion.
All work with the battery perform with the engine turned off and in ventilated room.

Dangerous for the environment.
Waste battery must not be thrown away in the trash, should pass it to recycling.

Information

Deposit fee and environmental protection:
Concerning about the environment and respecting the rules, the battery retailers are required to:

  1. Gratuitously accept spent lead (acid) battery when selling a new one. Spent lead (acid) battery or single cell of the industrial lead (acid) battery is a waste disposal, which retains its basic structural elements
  2. Charge a fee of 30 PLN per unit and confirm it on the deposit payment document if the buyer fails to deliver his wasted lead (acid) battery at the purchase time
  3. Refund the charged deposit fee within 30 days from the purchase date of the lead (acid) battery. The basis for the fee refund is delivering the spent lead (acid) battery and submit a document confirming its collection as referred to in point 2.

WARNING! If refunding the deposit fee is not possible in our retail store (interruption in the operation, decommissioning) the refunding is made by nearest collection point of used spent (acid) batteries, as indicated by the importer. In this case, the refund of the deposit occurs within 45 days from the date of purchase. Legal basis: The law obligations of the entrepreneurs of certain wastes and on the product and deposit fee, art. 53-55 of Act of 24. April 2009. The batteries and accumulators (Journal of Laws, 2015, it. 687).
